The native language education undertakes the important task of transferring the excellent culture heritage of its country. At the same time, it greatly promotes the development and re-creation of its country' s culture. Therefore, education and the native language education are of vital importance, and its shaping straightly affects all the other subjects' progress. Went without saying, curriculum criterion for native language, which is the creed document of a certain period, layouts, stimulates, guides the curriculum' s growing. Curriculum criterion for native language' s pertinence to transferring the excellent culture, guidance to the development of the curriculum, promotion to the native culture' s healthy evolution has held the balance in the native language education.At the driving of developed countries' spring tide, developing countries such as China and Laos, too impatient to wait, are also putting their curriculum reforms to mutation from gradual evolvement, and becoming incandesce. Thereby, we analyze and compare the two countries' curriculum criterion for native language education, study their frames and contents, explore the criterions' pertinence to each native language education, dialyze foreign countries ideas' influence to their criterions, and hereby reflect: where is the way out to native language education? What can criterions afford to native language education in the process? What further efforts should criterion make at the base of obtained achievement?This paper compares the curriculum criterions for native language education of China and Laos in framework, curriculum ideas, curriculum objects, curriculum content, instruction suggestion and assessment suggestion; demonstrates the pertinence. The reflection on history and existing problems which Chinese curriculum criterion faces refracts that opportunities and challenges coexist in developing countries' curriculum reform. Tradition of native language education is part of culture tradition, and has characteristics of it. Simultaneously, native language education has the internal rules for its development. Reflection and criticism on the two countries' criterions at the view of combining education tradition and internal rules are the staged profound thinking of this paper.
