| Life is both the starting point and the permanent home of education. Education must put human being in its core position, respect life, bless life, guide life and exalt life. Only in this way can education achieve its mission of liberating and developing human beings. However, what we find in reality is that under the guidance of technical rationality there are only objects, which can be seen in education except human being. Schools are all turned into factories of knowledge, and people are produced like standard objects in the same way as the modern industry process. Thus, the more efforts it makes, the farther education deviates from its correct route and direction, because it doesn't treat a person as human being. Education of this kind means just inhibition, discipline and punishment toward people .Life-oriented education is the correction of the one which has no idea of human being; to some extent it is an attempt and effort to resume its pursuit of real education. Life-oriented education holds that education is a process of personality molding personality, heart warming heart. Only when educators open the heart of the students on the basis of trust and love, can they have a heart to heart with each other ,understand each other and respect each other through equal dialog and communication .In this thesis ,we hope to provide legitimate evidence for life-oriented education through interpretation of the condition and the fate of life both in history and in reality. The thesis is divided into four parts:Part one, through discussion of the thought of life in Chinese history and western history; this thesis shows that the thought of caring for life has had a long history. So it presents an abundant and precious source for us to advocate and promote life-oriented education in the society today. |
