General Discussion On How To Present Humanities Spirit In Art Teaching

The new course revolution updated the education concept, so that we now realized the unique impact that Art education has on the improvement of human quality. As one of the fundamental course concepts,"Art courses should have humanity attribute"implies that Art studying is not only a training of skills, but also a culture studying. Therefore, it is very important to emphasize the Art studying in order to improve the aesthetic ability. As a matter of fact, it is the essence of what the Art educators are pursuing. It has become a new challenge for the current Art educators to present humanities spirit in Art teaching. This article discussed approaches to face this challenge.There are three sections in this article.1. Working on the teaching contents. The Art teachers should be able to expose students to materials with various humanity aspects, to combine Art studying and various cultures together, so that students could learn knowledge in humanity in Art classes. In this article, it is discussed in four aspects on how to choose various teaching contents with humanity concepts in it, so that teachers could lead the students to discover, appreciate and then to create beauty, and thus train them to obtain aesthetic concept, and improve their humanity awareness level further more.2. Adjusting teaching concept. First, the Art teachers should pay more attention to the experiences of the students. They should try to intrigue the thought and emotion of the students based on the developing of the students. Second, they should put more emphasis on the humanitizing of the way of Art studying. Meanwhile, they should take advantage of the various ways of Art studying, adjust the evaluation concept in order to promote the developing ofthe students. It is also important to have harmony between the teachers and the students, and to create an equal, harmonious, pleasant and democratic studying atmosphere.3. Improving the Art teachers'humanity awareness level. Since the teacher is the organizer of the teaching activity, his or her intrinsic qualifications have an important impact on the teaching as a whole. Teachers have to improve their own humanity awareness level in order to better present humanity spirit in Art teaching.
