Information society, information has become another important resource after land, capital and energy. Nowadays, the world is featured by cyberization and informatization, every country has realized the significance of Information Literacy (IL).The person with IL knows its information needs, can effectively, critically acquire, evaluate information and accurately, creatively use information based on facts. Reports from American education technology CEO forum in 2001 included IL as one of the fundamental abilities that people should possess in 21st century. Further more, international advanced IL and life-long learning conference held in Alexandria, 2005 take IL as the core competence of life-long learning.Firstly, the paper gives comments on the concept, connotation and standards of IL, then the author constructs IL standards for the undergraduate according to research content. After constructing IL standards, the author designed the questionnaire and conducted a survey among 300 college students.On the basis of questionnaire investigation and personal interview, the paper analyses IL status of the undergraduate in network environment, finding out the problems and its causes. At the end of the paper, the author discusses IL training strategies from the viewpoint of strengthening the construction of information infrastructure, improving teaching method, exerting the role of library, strengthening internet moral education, enhancing teachers' information literacy, hoping these strategies can effectively improve students' information literacy.
