Construction And Implementation Of Distance Education Learning System

As modern distance education develops rapidly, construction of a high efficient network learning system has become an important research subject. At present, most distance learning systems perform primarily the function of providing learning resources, but can not incarnate the dynamic learning process, and are lack of personalized learning support means aiming at students'individual characteristics and collaborative learning environment.Based upon the actual needs of developing distance learning and by drawing on the achievements of personalized learning, collaborative learning, intelligent teaching system and on-line learning system both at home and abroad, this paper brings forward a suit of scheme for constructing learning system with personalized service, several interactive modes and collaborative learning environment . Based on these research findings, the distance education learning system for Network School of Xidian University is developed. Some specific work has been done as follows:Firstly, the development of distance education, the learning environment and variables in distance education are described, based upon which the learning process model is constructed and the functional architecture is designed. To promote learning efficiency and effectiveness, a personalized courseware recommendation system based on the fuzzy item response theory is presented which can recommend courseware with appropriate difficult level to learner through learner gives a fuzzy response of understanding percentage for the learned courseware. Then, this paper constructs grouping model of collaborative learning teams, and brings forward the principle and algorithm of grouping learning teams in which the complementation of knowledge level and comparability of interest are both taken into consideration. Finally, the frame of Struts is adopted in this system and two resolutions of system optimization are given.
