The Study Of Quality Assurance System For Our Higher Education By Comparison

With the advent of the knowledge-based economy and social development, high-level requirement for the development of our higher education has been brought forward. It has been set as one of the significant aims of our nation'political, economic and social development to increase the higher education enrollment rate and to popularize higher education. With the dramatic expansion of higher education, the issue how to prevent the landslide of the quality of higher education has been given much attention.Western countries, including the United States, Britain, France, Australia, the Netherlands and other countries in the process of development of higher education, and marching toward the popularization have constructed a system to ensure the quality of higher education. Although the quality assurance forms or character are different. But these models that ensure their higher education to develop rapidly are playing increasingly important and indispensable roles. What is the background of these countries to establish a system to ensure their higher education quality. How effective is the implementation of the higher education quality assurance. What means or measures have been used to ensure their higher education quality, and what useful experiences have they had. These issues will be discussed in this paper.By comparison, we have not established a system to ensure the quality of higher education. In view of this, this paper will comprehensively introduce the major models, characters of the systems which ensure the quality of higher education in Western counties, and the advantages and disadvantages of their systems exist in practice. By comparison, I will thoroughly analyze the current situation and the inadequate of the higher education quality assurance system in china, and explain my views about how to construct a system to ensure the higher education quality in China. And think our country should construct the quality assurance system that is suited to China's national condition.
