21st century is an era of economic globalization and knowledge economy. Along with the rapid development of high-tech, the explosion of information and more frequent exchange of information, talents who grasp certain specialty and have good command of English are in urgent need. To meet the challenges of economic globalization and technological revolution in the new century, education should follow up the pace. It has become the main task of education to cultivate highly qualified compound talents who are excellent in their specialty, language ability, communication and knowledge in line with the standard of international cooperation and global competition. According to the spirit of Several Comments on Strengthening Undergraduate Teaching of Universities and Enhancing Teaching Quality [2001] No. 4 Document by Ministry of Education, bilingual teaching in universities has become the trend of the times.By introducing sports projects, aerobics course of university is closely related to the reform of bilingual teaching. Bilingual teaching is still under the stage of exploration and trial in China in recent years, and still faces many problems and difficulties. So based on reference to large quantity of documents and materials, this article takes the aerobics course of university as its object of research, makes comprehensive use of documents and materials, questionnaire research, expert survey, data statistics, comparative analysis, etc., and collects the comments and ideas on the bilingual teaching of aerobics course of university from experts and scholars from five key sport universities as well as teachers of aerobics teaching of fourteen national key comprehensive universities in China so as to learn about the basic conditions of bilingual teaching of aerobics course of university in China. On that basis, according to current conditions of bilingual teaching of aerobics course of university in China, and in combination with teaching practice, this article analyzes the level of teaching, teaching materials, and students in bilingual teaching of aerobics course of university, conducts minute study on the availability of the course, advances the idea of bilingual teaching of aerobics course, discusses in details the measures, design, and method of implementation, and puts forward suggestions on the method of teaching for bilingual teaching, expecting to make contribution to bilingual teaching of aerobics course in universities. The conclusions are as follows:1. Basically, the transitional bilingual model and the maintenance bilingual model can fit in with the need of current bilingual teaching of aerobics course in China. This process can be divided initially into three stages: maintenance bilingual model in the early stage of studying, transitional bilingual model in the middle stage, and English teaching in the later stage. It is more proper to combine term guidance and sports password in current stage of exploration.2. The proportion of English in bilingual model of aerobics course should not exceed 30%. It is better to teach them to make gradual progress according to their own levels, and a fixed standard is unnecessary.3. Efforts should be made to solve the problem of the availability of qualified teachers for bilingual teaching of aerobics course, and close relationship should be established with all kinds of trainings between and inside schools, home and abroad so as to break the bottleneck.4. Bilingual teaching of aerobics course should be selective. Students make their own choices according to their interests and ability. In this way, we are more likely to solve the problem brought by the disparity of students' levels and facilitate the carrying out this course on a large scale.5. The foreign original teaching materials are not suitable for the bilingual teaching of aerobics course in China. It is proposed that the Ministry of Education speed up development of bilingual teaching materials of aerobics course. Teachers may arrange bilingual teaching of aerobics course according to their own conditions.
