With the rapid development of information technology and mathtechnology, the concept of "Two-basics" has been given newconnotations. Basic mathematic skills include three traditional basic skillsof "calculating, drawing, and reasoning", besides, they also requirecommunication skills, cooperation skills, information processing skills,model building skills, innovation skills. The dissertation will not onlyintroduces skills of calculating, reasoning, drawing which scholars both athome and board accept, but also expounds further communication skills,cooperation skills, information processing skills, model building skills:.and innovation skills.This paper is divided into four chapters. Chapter one introducesbackground, theoretic and realistic significances of the study, andsummarizes various literatures. Chapter two expounds the theoreticfoundations for cultivating math skills: transitional theory for psychology,constructivism theory for pedagogy and educational target taxonomy.Chapter three analyses present situations of basic mathematic skills invocational high school through testing method, and looks into factors toinfluence students' basic mathematic skill through questionnaires;Chapter four researches the countermeasures to cultivate mathematicskills for the students of vocational high school from five aspects:understand the cultivation of math skills, teaching reform of math skills%teaching method reform of mathematic skills, teachers' transformappraisal view for students' mathematic skills, cultivation of high-qualityvocational teachers.
