| Undergraduate education (U.E.), whose quality directly reflects the quality of education and is related to the establishment and development of researching universities (R.U.), are the basis and key of the whole education system. Emphasis on U.E., and enhancement and improvement on the management of U.E. quality are the necessary conditions of a school's existence and development. The management of U.E. quality is associated with many factors inside and outside the higher education, and is required to set up and perfect the external guarantee mechanism, and moreover, to better and promote the internal quality-control systems in universities, in which it is critical to construct a scientific and effective system of education quality management. Therefore, viewing each factor over the teaching process (T.P.) as the study object, systematically supervising each step during T.P., and probing into the establishment of the systems of the U.E. quality management in R.U. should become a real subject solved urgently during the course of the higher education development.Considering the above ideas, this study absorbed the conception of "management of quality", used for reference the successful experience about the management of teaching quality over the world, and attempted to introduce the supervising methods concerned and the methods of processing management into the field of teaching quality management in R.U.. At the same time, it organically contacted those activities of teaching management that affected greatly the education and teaching, and completely controlled and improved every element that has effects on teaching quality, for example, subjects were regarded as the essential cells of the teaching process, and the assured documents of subject cell were built. In addition, it discussed the systems of the teaching quality management adapted to the R.U., and formed a system of the U.E. quality management made up of four branch systems: the quality standard, the process controlling, the quality evaluation, and lasting improvement. Through the implementing this system, all factors and steps can enter the orbit circulating very well, and can promote the improvement of the teaching management level in R.U., and can providesome proofs for the reform and development in R.U.. |
