This research holds the viewpoint that the essential task of the moraleducation is practice. It illustrates the concept, function, present situationand necessity of the practical education of the "Ideological and PoliticalPrinciples Courses". We think that the lack of stable, efficient practicaleducation in "Ideological and Political Principles Courses" is the mostimportant reason that causes the dissatisfactory education effects and thesituation that the college students make theory be divorced from practice.The present domestic literature information shows that the researcheson the present situation and problems of the "Ideological and PoliticalPrinciples Courses" practical education because of lack of the stable,normative and efficient practical education itself. Naturally, there are veryfew researches which study the ubiquitous problems of the "Ideologicaland Political Principles Courses" practical education systemically andscientifically.This research aims at how to enhance the education effects of the"Ideological and Political Principles Courses" and how to strengthen the practical education. It begins with the research of investigation. 5representative universities in Chongqing have been chosen. Students fromthem are the samples of our investigation. Through the pre-investigationand the formal questionnaire, by means of objective and descriptiveresearch as well as the method of logic cause and effect, on the basis of thatall of the questionnaires were analysed by frequencies and the reliabilitythrough SPSS 10.0. We concluded that the practice education of the"Ideological and Political Principles Courses" has the problems of 6aspects. We found out what the college students concern about, what aretheir focuses, what confuses them, their ideaistic trends, and their favoriteforms of practical education as well. We concluded the forms of practicaleducation in the universities now, some successful experience and methods.We bring forward 6 measures of how to enhance and improve the practicaleducation according to the problems. In order to develop the new methods,we advanced the idea of inaugurating "the Fourth Classroom" creationarily,which is the real life of the students themselves. We try to explore theefficient carriers and approaches that can not only connect the contents ofthe "Ideological and Political Principles Courses" to the real life of thestudents naturally, but also cultivate their own ability of self-education.Through it, we try to develop and improve the mechanism of theself-education and make the students exercise the principles of Marxism,the ethic and value of socialism into their own lives voluntarily. The results of the research have strong pertinency, practicability andmaneuverability to solve the problems mentioned before. They also haveuniversal realistic meaning and the referenced value to strengthen andimprove the practical education of the "Ideological and Political PrinciplesCourses" in universities, to promote its reform, to ameliorate its educationeffects and to make it one of the favorite courses of the college students. Atthe same time, the contents of the research have the active functions tocultivate the students' ability of self-education, to improve the political,ideological and moral qualities, to improve the quality of the local talent.
