The Comparative Study Between The Chinese Women's Basketball Team And The Excellent Women's Basketball Teams In The 28th Olympic Games

During the 21st century, basketball campaign is keeping popularizing with its rapid development. The defensive and offensive skill and tactical innovation will be greatly accelerated. Many requirements for athlete's skill,tactic,talent and psychological quality are closer to the nature and special features of basketball campaign. Athletic basketball is still the athlete's contest and confrontation on whose talent,skill,personal accomplishment and mental ability etc. During the match, their active struggle, solid offense and defense, combination of height and speed, union of individual and community and complementarity of commander and star are incisively and vividly characterized. Basketball match is not only a battle of wits of the ground crew and ground coaches, but also an omnidirectional competition of two teams'logistics ensurance, cultural accomplishments and their creation of atmosphere.Based on documentation, video observation, experts visiting, logical analysis and mathematical statistics, this thesis made a comparative study between the Chinese women's basketball and the four top women's basketball teams in the 28th Olympic games. The result shows that: 1,The Chinese women's basketball players have height advantage over the four top women's basketball players in the 28th Olympic games, but the average age and the relative weight differences are remarkable. 2,The Chinese women's basketball outstanding players and the world women's basketball star players' individual data disparity are remarkable, but at the same time have the relative superiorities. 3,Compared with the excellent women's basketball teams in the 28th Olympic Games, the Chinese women's basketball team has many disparities, such as the lower average height of centers and forwards; the shortage of core point guards; the bad capacity of fast break; and the low success ratio of breakthrough attack. 4,The Chinese team's defensive target, such as backboard and steals have the obvious disparities with the match, which show the technical utilization on rebounds and steals etc are not as reasonable as European and American teams 5,The Chinese women's basketball defense flexibility and the validity are insufficient; Individual and the collective defense ability are weak; the technical utilization on rebounds and steals etc are not as reasonable as European and American teams. At the same time, the research also discovered that the Chinese basketball preparation strength is weak and the selection is unreasonable, which will hinder the sustainable development of the Chinese basketball enterprise.I sincerely hope that this thesis can be a small contribution to Chinese women's basketball team's ideal achievement in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
