The Research On The Faith And Political Orientation Of Contemporary University Students

With the rapid development of information, digit and economic globalization, China has marched into an unprecedented brand-new time. Young intellectuals are the main potential productive power. As an important part of the young intellectuals, the contemporary university students who take certain proportions in the troop of intellectuals are the most vigorous factor of the productive force. They are in the central position of economic construction and social development. The contemporary university students' world concept, political quality and thought-theory level are vital to the fostering of qualified talents and the future of our country. Whether they can form scientific ideal and grow up healthily or not in practice is closely related to the future of our nation and people in great extent. In terms of politics, the contemporary university students are sensitive and positive to participate in political activities, and they are quick learners of new subjects and new conceptions. They stay at the conjunction between the matured and the maturing, and the plasticity is great. Therefore, analyzing the faith and political orientation of present university students is very of great significance for the national economic construction and social development, especially for persisting in the socialism system with Chinese characters.University students are the barometer and the mirror of the time. Most of them are thirsty for knowledge and exploration. This paper generally researches the present university students'faith and political orientation through analyzing massive data. In detail, it explores currents university students'belief on Marxism, faith on Chinese socialism, confidence on the executive ability of the Communist Party of China, and the historical sense of responsibility to the construction of socialist harmonious society. Through the investigation, the author points out contemporary university students have their own shortcomings, such as, lacking political experience and weak in distinguishing ability. Therefore, we should carry on the education and the guidance for university students to consolidate their political faith and enhance their confidence on the construction of socialism with Chinese characters.Accompanying the rapid changes of the inside and outside, the factors influencing the contemporary university students'faith and political orientation are changing, too. This article systematically analyzes the domestic and outside factors which might exert great influence upon contemporary university students, which is a special trait of this paper. The domestic factors include the policy of reform and opening up, the transformation of socialist economic system and the influence bring about by internet; the outside factors contains the impact by economic globalization and western value concepts. Thereby, the author proposes that we should carry on the Marxism education relentlessly to the contemporary university students, enhance"three-view education", and encourage university students to participate in social practice actively, maintain the social network environment and construct harmonious campus surroundings diligently. Thus, the faith and political orientation of contemporary university students can be guided in a healthy way.
