| The modern distance education is a new education mode, produced with the development of the information technology. It is the main method to construct the life-long learning system. The distance education has been playing a pivotal role in forming the society of life-long learning and promoting human's full scale development. In recent years, with Internet coming into people's daily life, the distance education has been developing rapidly in our country and has made significant achievements.The essential character of the web-based education is the separation in space and time of the teacher and the student. It leads to that learners must give full play to the initiative ability and carry on self-regulated learning. Moreover, recently, most people accepting the web-based education are working adult learners. Therefore, it is of both theoretical and practical significance to make a comprehensive and systematical research on adults'ability of self-regulated learning in the environment of Internet.Introduction illustrates the background, significance, methods, and main content of the research and it talks about the history and present situation of its study home and abroad.The first part of the thesis begins with overview of the basic theory about adults'ability of self-regulated learning in the environment of Internet. The aim is to illustrate the connotation and characteristics of adults'self-regulated learning. Also it points out the elements of adults'self-regulated learning including adult learns, teachers, network and network environment, network courses, and establishes the foundations for discussions and study on adult'ability of self-regulated learning in the environment of Internet.The second part of the thesis thoroughly does the research on forming mechanism, manifestation and influencing factors of adults'ability of self-regulated learning in the environment of Internet. It points out that the Internet learning environment brings some advantages to learners'self-regulated learning, but at the same time, also causes some bad effects. so, it stressed learners should have more autonomy in the academic performance network operating skills, the ability to judge and choose information, quick reading ability and so on. At same time, it points out that the influencing factors of adults'ability of self-regulated learning in the environment of Internet contain internal factors and external factors. Internal factors include learners'intellectual factors, non-intellectual factors, cognitive structure and so on. Eternal factors include teachers, network environment, network resources, learning support services and so on.The third part of the thesis reveals the problems existing in adult'ability of self-regulated learning in the environment of Internet by investigating and analyzing the present situation. Based on this, the thesis puts forward some strategies from internal and external factors or macroscopic and microscopic sides. |
