SWOT Analysis And Thinking About The Employment Of Graduates In Higher Vocational College

With the popularization of higher education and the development of higher vocational education, vocational graduates gradually become more and more important workforce in employment circle, drawing increasing concern from society.The external employment environment and internal resources of graduates has become an increasingly important job functions, taking considerations of the following facts: the integration of the world economy, the social transformation of the diversified development of enterprise, the open and more turbulent employment environment .To a certain extent, the issue of Vocational graduates employment itself is a complex social system. We must balance all the factors which would affect higher vocational graduates' emloyment when we try to find way to effectively resolve the Vocational graduates' employment in the changing employment environment.This paper mainly employed SWOT method to analyze the current competitiveness position of Vocational graduates in the context of the external environment and internal resources, showing the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats confronting higher vocational education graduates . the analysis was conducted from the viewpoints of governments, employers, schools and students themselves.Among the main contents, the paper includes the following:The first chapter is mainly about the relevant introduction to the study objective, which includes the significance of this study, the summary of research having been conducted before, the methodology and a brief explanation about SWOT.The second chapter discusses the employment competitiveness advantages owned by higher vocational graduates. This chapter combines higher vocational education with employment characteristics of the enterprises, and decomposes the comprehensive advantages into three sub-advantages, namely the comparativeness advantages, the go-first advantages and the competitiveness advantages.The third chapter meanwhile briefed the employment disadvantages of higher vocational graduates, stemming from the shortcoming of qualifications, personality psychology, and the humanities weakness.The fourth part demonstrated the more and more brilliant employment opportunities for the Vocational graduates, mainly based on the following facts: the rapid and healthy social and economic development, increasing demands on skilled workforce, more and more attention put by all levels of governments to the issue of vocational students' employment.The fifth chapter disclosed the employment threats and the severe employment situation. it blame the situations for the facts: graduates' status of the job market is getting weak, social pursuits unnecessary higher education qualification, homogenization of structural unemployment problems, and social psychology negatively impacting vocational graduates.The sixth chapter proposed ways in solving higher Vocational graduates' employment, from the viewpoints of government, employers, schools, graduates, with full considerations of higher vocational education graduates' strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
