Scaffolding Instructional Model based on Constructivism Teaching Theory is to help students probe into knowledge by themselves and achieve the construction of knowledge and information at last by constructing a series of appropriate conceptual frameworks and concrete circumstances. According to the suggestions of English teaching writing and writing ability training of Senior High School put forward by the Ministry of Education, the author conducted a teaching experiment on senior one students in Qin'an No.2 Senior High School by using the Scaffolding Instructional Model as its experimental base. This paper mainly discusses that applying Scaffolding Instructional Model to teaching can stimulate students' writing motivation, cultivate their writing ability, improve their writing level in English and assist teachers in optimizing classroom teaching and improve the efficiency of teaching results. It makes an effort to explore the practical method in English writing teaching.In Part I, the author finds out that there are some problems in Senior High School by analyzing the present writing teaching, so it's necessary to pay special attention to the quantity and the quality of students' writing, and to give them accentuated training on writing.In Part II, the author provides a brief introduction to the development of Scaffolding Instructional Model and its key links and some relative research.In Part III, the author studies the teaching principles of English writing in China Senior High School carefully based on Scaffolding Instructional Model, and thus comes up with the experimental hypothesis that the experimental group in which the Scaffolding Instructional Model is used has a better writing ability than the control group .Part IV is the core of this thesis, and it is about the experimental research of applying the Scaffolding Instructional Model to English writing teaching in Senior High School. This part discusses the teaching model and some teaching principles of English writing based on Scaffolding Instructional Model and a detailed description of the basic links of writing teaching, aiming at proving that Scaffolding Instructional Model can be used to instruct English writing teaching.Part V points out that the Scaffolding Instructional Model can guide English writing teaching in Senior High School. In the process of teaching, the teachers can make the best use of the Scaffolding Instructional Model to help students construct knowledge, and to some extent, enhance writing training, improve writing level of the students gradually. Besides, the author puts forward several implications for further study and research.
