Marginal Survival

Although the rural people who work in the urban of our country are generally called the same name-migrant worker, migrant workers adapt themselves to the social life in urban by different kinds of survival logic because of subordinating to different industries and their different quality conditions. The author hold that the specific research on migrant worker's survival logic in different industries is helpful to understanding the problem deeply with which the migrant workers face in the process of adapting the urban society and providing more targeted theoretical basis for improving migrant worker's survival environment.This paper takes the hidden organization of corner labor as studying object, using the interviews and observations, revealing the special operational logic in the hidden organization of corner labor by the way of contrasting. Through the analyzing the operational logic of hidden organization of corner labor, finding that the hidden organizational is the center of marginal survival logic of corner labor , and describing the cause, advantages and disadvantages and it's inspiration. All of above are contained in the following four parts:In the first part, the author describe the researching question, researching significance and method in this paper. The researching questions are the following ones: what's the hidden organization of corner labor's operational logic? What kind of survival logic of corner labor the operational logic lead to? What are survival logic's advantages and disadvantages? What kinds of inspirations the logic can bring? Answering these questions can bring some inspiration for improving corner labor's survival environment and provide some theory power for solving the problems about migrant workers, these are the significance of this research. This paper use method of interview and observation to collect the materials.This second part is the theory basis of this paper. The theories being used in this paper are the following ones:"Differential pattern", Network analysis theory, Ternary social construction theory, Exchange theory and Bottom elite theory. The author would use these theories to explain the researching question in this paper.The third part is mainly about the analysis of hidden organization of corner labor's operational logic. At first, uncovering hidden organization of corner labor's operational logic by contrasting the three kinds of organizational status. Second, analyzing the specific operational logic of hidden organization of corner labor from three aspects which are energy supplyment mechanism, integration mechanism and interest demanding mechanism.In the fourth part, hidden organizational is corner labor's marginal survival logic. In this part, the author analyze the cause, advantages and disadvantages of the marginal survival logic of corner labor, and describe the inspiration of this kind of survival logic.Through the analysis in the above four parts, the author give her two viewpoints about the marginal survival logic of corner labor. First, as the marginal"survival"logic of corner labor , it provides the survival conditions for hidden organization of corner labor, helping the hidden organization of corner labor get the space of development in urban. From this aspect, this kind of survival logic should be supported by government and society. Second, as the"marginal"survival logic of corner labor, this kind of logic is not perfect, it can not provide formal interest demanding channels for the hidden organization of corner labor, which makes corner labors stay in the embarrassment position of having no interest security. In the author's opinion, the interest gaming between the corner labor and the urban administration department is practical way of stepping into formal institutional system.
