On The Issue Of And Solutions To The Ideological And Political Education Of Students In Chinese Private-owned Colleges

At present, the ideological and political education in higher education is highlighted deeply. The ideological and political education in the private-owned higher education is an important field among the undergraduate's ideological and political education. On the one hand, the ideological and political education in the private-owned higher education defers the common rules among the undergraduate's ideological and political education, on the other hand, it has its own characteristics and regularities. Now, our country is in an important period in the socialistic construction and the undergraduate's ideaistic characteristics, mentalities and behavior have changed deeply and have shown many new characteristics in a new period. Facing the new situation, though the ideological and political education of students has already made some achievements in private-owned colleges, it is still in great adversity under the historical and realistic constraints. If the private-owned colleges deal with their ideological and political education as the common higher schools do, they will not achieve their goals in the ideological and political education. So, it is necessary to study the private-owned colleges'ideological and political education according to their own characteristics.This thesis analysis the status of the undergraduate's ideological and political education, and study the role of the ideological and political education in the private-owned colleges. Through the research of the status of the undergraduate's ideological and political education in five private-owned colleges and five public-owned colleges in Beijing, we thought that the political thought of the undergraduate's in private-owned colleges is correct primarily and their mentality and ethics is multiplex. Contrasting the private-owned colleges'undergraduate to the public-owned colleges'undergraduate, we also found some problems in the private-owned colleges'undergraduate to solute. The private-owned colleges'undergraduate exist the following problems: their thinking depart from their actions; utilitarianism; the goal of study is vague, the impetus of study is deficient; they feel their future is uncertain; discouragement and so on. This article analysis the reasons of those problems. They can be summarized as follows: first, the construction of the teachers is unreasonable; the quality of educated object is low; third, the education circumstance is complex; forth, the education content is backward; fifth, the education methods is old and single and so on. The above-mentioned reasons effected the ideological and political education to some degree. To deal with this situation, based on the realities of the private-owned colleges and their students, this thesis puts forward several practical and feasible solutions to improving the ideological and political education in these private-owned colleges. They can be summarized as follows: first, improving the way of education of administration cadres; second, promoting the quality of course arrangement of the ideological and political theory courses; third, optimizing the environments of the ideological and political education; forth, emphasizing the self improvement of the teaching stuff; fifth, standardizing the Party's construction etc.The author hope that the study of the thesis can make the undergraduate's ideological and political education in private-owned colleges more scientific and normative.
