New curriculum reform has been performed thoroughly in junior high schools and put into practice in senior high schools as well all over our country.We have made remarkable achievements in the process of new curriculum reform,there is still a long way to go,though. Some friction and rubs are facing us especially in ethnic regions in Southwest China.Since the condition of physics experiment teaching is an important index that stands for whether physics new curriculum reform is successful or not,the study tried to realize the condition of physics new curriculum reform in Southwest China by the status quo investigation of physics experiment teaching in high schools of Nujiang,Yunnan province.Basing on two autoptical performances to Nujiang,I have made three researches in the study as the following:Research No.1:the condition of the equipment and utilizing of physics instruments.Research No.2:the case research on the process of physics teachers' experiment teaching.Research No.3:the status quo in making use of physics experiment resources.Research methods adopted are text analyzing,questionnaire investigation,interview to teachers,taking pictures and so on,Drawing the following conclusions:(1)The quantity of laboratory qualification there were low so as that it didn't meet the requirement of the standard of "The Demand of Physics Laboratory",which is promulgated by the Teaching Instrument Institute of Ministry of Education on May 18,2007,however,most of the experiment instruments that was originally equipped corresponded with theⅠstandard of "The Science Teaching Instrument Catalogue",which was promulgated by the Ministry of Education in 2000.In addition,most of the experiments in "Daily Compulsory Education·Physics Curriculum Standard" and "Common Senior High Schools·Physics Curriculum Standard" it could be completed that most of the experiments related to "Daily Compulsory Education·Physics Curriculum Standard" and "Common Senior High Schools·Physics Curriculum Standard",merely using original experiment instruments.(2)In the process of actual teaching,experiment instruments are sufficiently imposed.85.92% of the experiments were carried out on average in "Daily Common Senior High Schools:Physics", and 76.49%of the experiments were carried out on average in "Daily Compulsory Education·Physics Curriculum Standard".The main reasons that some experiments were not executed were in turn:the lack of experiment instruments,no spare time and some experiments being too difficult.(3)The case research of physics teachers' experiment teaching course showed that the experiment teaching,whose target was implementing the content of the physics textbooks',was still based on physics textbooks.The teaching's model of physics experiment was mainly the traditional one,where the students experimentalize orderly according to the experiment sequence given in advance.Most of the teachers were trying the inquiry teaching model continuingly,but there are some differences between the inquiry teaching model which Curriculum Standards was propagating and that comprehended by the teachers.(4)Teachers in Nujiang had an active attitude to the experiment curriculum resources.At present,the majorities of curriculum resources utilized by teachers have been the textbooks and teaching reference books,or discussing with the colleagues in the same teaching and research group.Teachers shuold enhance the labor developing curriculum resources related to the ethnic regions in Southwest China.
