With reform and opening up deepened and development of socialist new countryside movement, We should pay more attention to vocational education in rural areas. Vocational education and training is a important way to promote construction of human resources in rural areas. Since 1949,Vocational education have made a great progress in rural areas. It also promoted the development of economy .But there are some problems in the progress of vocational education .Compared with developed countries, vocational education in rural areas of China has fallen behind .For example ,in contrast to Korea-our neighbor, especially to the education in rural areas of Korea ,we still have a lot to do. We should find problems, meet the gap, and take measures to promote the development of vocational education in rural areas to assure socialist new countryside movement.In this paper, the author compared the role of vocational education in Chinese rural areas with the role of vocational education in Korean rural areas .this paper is divided into five parts: first part is preface. in this part ,two issues is discussed. the first issue: vocational education is needed in socialist new countryside construction .second issue: the caliber of farmers is promoted by vocational education. vocational education in Chinese rural areas is necessary for the farmers. the state should focus heavily on the education and on the farmers, especially on the vocational education in rural areas. with the development of vocational education, thousands of farmers are trained and educated .they may have a good attitude to the lives, and do good to the development of the country.The second part of this paper ,the Korean Vocational education and training in rural areas is introduced .the author begins with analyses of the background of Korean Vocational education and training,the history of Korea and education is discussed in this part. There are many experiences in Korean Vocational education and training movement: Korean government has a firm attitude to education; the farmers take actively in the new rural areas movement; the organization and rules is responsible and independent. but there are also problems :the administration focus mainly on the form and the government gave too much guidance ;the farmers lacks of positive attitude .there is a close connection in rural Vocational education and training and the new rural areas movement. the Korean authorities pointed out that the development of human capital is the only way for Korea to develop. the government should provided the rural areas with sufficient funds ,give the farmer guidance of technology, promote the living condition to make farmers live happily.In the third part of this paper, the author analyzes the role of Vocational education and training in Chinese rural areas. our country is in a special times, the civilization of agriculture ,urbanization of the rural areas vocational education and training. in rural area. now Vocational education and training in rural areas of our country faces challenges and opportunities: the present condition takes effects on the development of vational education and training in rural areas, but we may also notice the prospect of vational education and training in rural areas. we have confidence that we can do well in vational education and training in rural areas. the main problems in vational education and training is that the policy is not complicated ,there is no regulations related to vational education and training, the farmers have not a good caliber, there are not enough good teachers in rural areas and there is no enough funds .in this part ,the author introduce the necessarity and background of construction of Vocational education and training in rural areas, the construction of new socialist rural areas can improve the productivity, mke the rural areas develop rapidly ,may also make farmers literate and well trained ,make the farmers live in a good environmentt ,then advance the speed and quality of the construction of the socialist new rural areas .In the fourth part of the paper ,the author compared china and korean in the aspect of charater of Vocational education and training in rural areas. the korean experiences have a positive influnce on china ,the experiences are: the state focuses heavily on the construction ,the people support firmly ,the farmers that get well trained in the movement of Vocational education and training take actively part .according to the experieces of korea, we should take measures below :make a good macro policy ,assure the enough funds, give the teachers in rural areas good salaries ,make the policy of qualified certification perfect .We should find problems, meet the gap, and take measures to promote the development of vocational education in rural areas to assure socialist new countryside movement.
