Generation is an important teaching idea, as well as one of research focuses in education circle in recent years. The paper attempts to apply the generative teaching to music-appreciating education of middle school. According to human beings' music-appreciating psychology as well as the features of physiological and mental development of middle school students, the paper intends to explore various kinds of strategies in generative teaching of music-appreciation from the perspective of the relation between presupposition and generation. The paper mainly employs literature review, experience summarization, comparison, etc. In the research progress, by further analyzing the relation between generation and presupposition, the author points out and certifies that only all-round, elastic, difference-oriented teaching could lead to wonderful, dynamic, personalized teaching, meanwhile, concludes three major kinds of generative resources in music-appreciating education of middle school. Based on these analyses, the research investigates different kinds of teaching strategies to deal with generation. Summarily speaking, the research tries to make up for generative teaching's deficiencies both in theory and practice, aiming to provide some enlightenment for music teachers on the front in middle school.
