The Comparative Study Of The Chain Of Offense And Defense Of Women's National Volleyball Team Between China And Italy, Brazil, U.S.A

As the host team of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, the Chinese Women's National Volleyball Team, who missed 2007 Women's Volleyball World Cup, only participated in the 2007 World Women's Volleyball Grand Prix, which is one of series of major tournaments before Olympic Game, and won the second place in Women's Volleyball World Grand Prix Finals in Beilun, Ningbo. In this paper, from the point of view of chain of offense and defense, using the double factors of contradictory of the offense and defense, we study the top four teams of the Women's Olympic Games 2008 Qualified Teams, i.e. China (host country) and Italy (1st in World Cup), Brazil (2nd in World Cup), U.S.A (3rd in World Cup), in order to analyze the strong competitors of women's national volleyball team theoretically before the 2008 Olympic Games.Through the method of surveying reference and interviewing experts, according to the domestic and foreign textbooks and monographs, this paper deeply analyzes the contradiction of offensive and defensive techniques in volleyball game. Moreover, by the means of analyzing game video, Mathematical statistics, Comparative analysis and so on, we study the game videos of China, Italy, Brazil and U.S.A Women's National Volleyball Team in the 2007 World Women's Volleyball Grand Prix Finals and 2007 Women's Volleyball World Cup, and analyze the single technique and the chain of offense and defense of China, Italy, Brazil and U.S.A. We obtain the following conclusions:First, in this paper, we consider the serve, spike, punching ball, handing ball and effective block back as offensive index of techniques, the service reception, anti-spike, anti-punching ball, anti-block ball, anti-handling ball and effective block as defensive index of techniques, establish the some contradiction systems of offensive and defensive chain include service—service reception system, spike—anti-spike system, block—anti-block system, spike—block system, punching ball—anti-punching ball system and handing ball—anti-handing ball system.Second, there is an obvious difference in serve technique between China and Italy (P<0.05); in handing ball technique between China and Brazil (P<0.05); in service reception, punching ball, effective block back techniques between China and U.S.A. (P<0.05). The service reception and punching ball techniques of China are relatively at the leading position.. The service, block, anti—block techniques of China and service reception, punching ball, anti—punching ball techniques of U.S.A are relatively poor; Italy and Brazil have no obvious drawbacks.Third, there is an obvious difference in serve—service reception, block—anti-block technique between China and Italy (P<0.05); in serve—service reception, punching— anti-punching between China and Brazil (P<0.05); in service—service reception, punching—anti-punching ball, block—anti-block, spike—block techniques between China and U.S.A. (P<0.05). The chain of offense and defense of service—service reception system and spike—anti-spike system, spike—block occupy significant contribution to the status of the total system in the four teams, on the. contrary, block—anti-block system, punching ball—anti-punching ball system occupy little contribution. Ordering the same chain of offense and defense of China, Italy, Brazil and U.S.A., we show that Brazil has the most balanced chain, followed by Italy and China. U.S.A has the obvious strong and weak chain of offense and defense.Based on the discussion of problems upward, we give the following suggestions:First, when competing with Italy, China should increase the stability of service; use the variational strategies, highlight the effectiveness of spike to suppress the opponents; be familiar with the habit of key players to intentionally block; pay attention to defending the block back ball; intentionally change the habit of punching ball, positively defending the punching ball of competitor.Second, when competing with Brazil, China should reduce the error of service, through service to suppress the decentralized strategy of Brazil; increase the quality of service reception to guarantee the variational strategies; pay attention to the block of Brazil to suitably deploy the attacking points; insist the self rhythm to seize Initiative of game.Third, it should be firm in of using the suitable tactics when playing with America. Assure the attack of serve, block and defense the powerful adjusted attack of attackers and right-side hitter in position 2 and 4. Break through the block with variational attack combination and combination of attack and punching. Insist the self rhythm to seize Initiative of game.Forth, it should enhance the attack ability and chance such as fast ball far away the net and the half-high ball in position 3. Innovations should be added to the original tactics and enrich the ability of improving the tactics of spikers.Enhance the block and defense of the balls which are in disorder, not in the suitable point adjusted and far from the net. It should be agile on the attack and defense tactics of block, which is different in people and time and make differences.Attackers should work hard in the choosing lines, power, point of fall and spiking off the block, especially improved the ability to strike the adjustable balls and balls in disorder. Enrich the technology of punching ball, change the point of fall in usual, besides, build up the consciousness of anti-drop ball and enhance the exercise of start-up velocity and skills of tall-large athletes.
