With the improvement of people's living standard and social development, more and more people are re-understanding the value of recreation and the quality of leisure that directly affects his complete, comprehensive and healthy development. Colorful leisure content and innovative leisure activity show vigorous development of the situation, spending their leisure time has become a meaningful identification of modem civilized life.The reasearh on women's personal life domain has been paid more and more attention because of the advancement of the women's status and vigorous development of research on women. Women's Leisure that closely intertwined with other aspects of daily activity is an indiscerptible part of their lives. It is an important aspect on reflecting the quality of women's lives, and closely related to women's status, weather they could enjoy their leisure lives freely and fully. For the special group of urban married professional women, it reflects a significant difference among professional women while the quality and quantity of Leisure activity that they participate in are both not high. So it is wothy of discussing that how to improve the visibility and participation of urban married professional women, how to help them make their own chioce and control their own leisure life, how to recognize the value of leisue. Then we can re-examine social leisure constraints and promote harmonious development of society.According to the former research and sum-up of relevant basic theories, this research first constructs the structural constraints for leisure activity from the point of view of urban married professional women, and issue questionnaires of leisure participation and constraints for urban married professional women. Then it sets up the process of collecting first-hand quantitative data, analysing actuality such as leisure time, site selection, choice of manner, motive and satisfaction, exploring different factors of their own constraints, interpersonal constraints, structural constraints systematically. Through case interviews, the reaserch collects more specific and detailed first-hand qualitative information, and researches the ultimately constraints of professional women' s leisure, which is the system of self-constraint, interpersonal constraints and structural constraints. Finally, according to this constraint system, statistical analysis and case interviews, the research makes its suggestions from three levels (personal, public and governmental) for improving the visibility and participation of leisure activity for our Chinese urban married professional women.
