The emergence of modern football played by women first took place in some European and American countries in the 1960s and it is not until 1980s that it began to be a popular sport. Up till now, great changes have taken place in both skills and tactics of the international women's football world, which have jumped to a more advanced level due to the stability and continuity of the league system, thus promoting a new trend and the establishment of a new order in women's football among different countries and regions. The Fifth Women's Football World Cup was held in China in 2007, in which 16 teams representing the highest level of the world competed with each other for the Trophy. There have been 8 championships in the history of Women's World Cup, 4 (including one Junior Women's Football World Cup ) of which are taken by the America, 2 by Norway and another 2 by Germany. This has already proved that European and American countries are on the zenith of this sport. The Chinese team once edged into the world's crack regiments as the winner of two runner-ups. Yet the bad performance of the Chinese team in the last 3 World Cups could no longer guarantee its position as a strong team in this sport.Football is a ball game played by feet. During the game, two opposing sides contest with each other and try to score more points over the other to win the game. The ultimate aim of an attack in this game is to shoot the ball into the goal of the other side. Therefore every goal must come after an effective attack. No matter the simple and practical fast break or the complicated field attack by one player or the coorpetation of the whole team, the chance of these attacks to shoot or score is influenced and restricted by many factors. This paper, based on the observation of the scoring characteristics, shooting, tactics of individual attack and attack cooperated by several players or the whole team, tries to find out their rules and regularities by analysing the statistics of these aspects, thus serving as a reference for China's women's football team during their training as well as they playing the games. The following conclusions are drawn according to the analysis of the statistics:1 If the attacker wants to shoot the ball into the tightly watched goal of the other side, she must meet several fundermental requirements:1) The attacker must has a keen prediction about what's going to happen next. This is very important because the penalty area and its surroundings are under the intense watch of defenders, which makes the space left for attack scarce. Only when the attacker anticipates the probable move of the defenders and the goalkeeper can she take advantage of the favourable time and position to creat the opportunity to score; 2) The attacker must shoot the ball very quickly and decisively to take the defenders off guard; 3) The attacker must ensure the accuracy of her shot, and in particular, maintain the stability of her move while making quick movements and facing confrontation; 4) The attacker must be confident because the match is just like a battle in which you must be confident about your judgement and skill in order to give full play to your potentials and finish the shot in a smart and neat way.2 The overall attacking ability is reflected by the comprehension of the players about the applied strategies and tactics as well as the actual effectivenss of these strategies and tactics. In this World Cup, the first-class teams can use various kinds of strategies and tactics with flexibility. They can possess the ball and win the match by high success rate. The main ways to get the chance to shoot and score are strategic cooperation, dribbling and possessing the ball, as well as breaking through. The top teams can take full advantage of the defence loopholes in and out of the penalty area, thus improving the quality of their shots. In particular, they have a strong ability to seize opportunities within the penalty area, which demonstrates that their off-the-ball moves and passing and taking the ball have been more reasonable and effective. Meanwhile, improvements have been made by every team in regards of their ability to score from long range.3 Free kick and corner kick have become important attacking tactics to score in modern football. The majority of the top sides have laid emphasis on the strategies of free kick and corner kick, with their control on the speed, strength and curving of the ball being improved, and their ability to head a goal from a corner as well.4 Individual break though is an indispensable part in personal attack, which should be given priority in training teenage and young players. During training and playing, players should be told that the two wings are major areas for personal break through and they must be confident enough to play break-through techniques such as dribbling the ball. It is also the trend for the future development of modern football to highlight the need to promote the players'ability to make correct choice and apply various break-through techniques appropritately under the pressure of moving fast. The coach should also be familiar with the uniqueness of every individual player in order to futher develop their advantages and encourage them to be creative in this technique. Coaches should pay attention to the principle of confrontation when choosing their training ways and methods in order to creat for the players the atmosphere of heavy confrontation in real football match during their shooting practice. During the shot training, emphasis should be laid on improving the players'ability to properly apply their skills such as passing the ball, taking the pass, dribbling, shooting after breaking through, passing the ball after breaking through, long-range shot, header and tip shot. Meanwhile, the coach should also work to promote the players'ability to seize the opportunity to shoot and score as well as their shooting accuracy. Keeping in mind of the characteristics of the modern football match, the coach should enhance the training of the team with a series of attack-and-defense strategies and tactics. On the basis of the team-attack tactic, the team should also practice various kinds of other attacking tactics in an integrated way. The quality of free kick and corner kick training should be promoted by encouraging the players to perform their personal skills and cooperate with others at the same time. Individual play and team work can be better intergrated with each other by enhancing the players'position sense and their ability to make space. Emphasis should also be laid on the flexibility and efficiency of the applied strategies and tactics during the match because high-speed and diversifications will be the major trend of the development of the stategies and tactics of modern women's football.
