Implicit theories of intelligence were conceptions that layperson formed in daily life. Implicit theories of intelligence were jumping-offpoint of explicit theories of intelligence. The research on implict theories can propel the research on explicit theories. Furthermore, implict theories of intelligence that layperson holded would affect the inteligence evalutation, occupation choosing and achievement on study. So it's very important to make researches on implicit theories of intelligence.In this research, researcher investigated 486 teachers from middle school and primary school by questionnaire to explore implicit theories of intelligence among teachers. The results indicated that:(1)Teachers' concepts about intelligence contains six factors, they are: knowledge-learning and creating ability, social adopting ability, general cogitive ability, self-control and plan ability, knowledge-seeking ability, interpersonal ability.(2)There is remarkable distinction between different type of teachers on concepts of intelligence. Primary school teachers attached great importance to knowledge-learning ability, general cogitive ability and knowledge-seeking ability. Middle school teachers attached great importance to social adapting ability. Teachers having longer school age(11 years or over) attached great importance to knowledge-learning ability, general cogitive ability and knowledge-seeking ability.(3)There is remarkable distinction between different type of teachers on theories that intelligence are fixed or malleable. Primary school teachers tend to believe intelligence are fixed(an entity theory) greater. Middle school teachers tend to believe intelligence are malleable(an incremental throey) greater.(4)Different theory of intelligence have different influence on achievement motivation. People believes intelligence are fixed( an entity theory) show greater motivation on avoiding failure. People believes intelligence are malleable(an incremental throey) show greater motivation on pursuing success.
