By means of document, interview, in-observation, questionnaire, statistics and logics, this paper intends to explore, in accordance with the theories of non-profit organization management, the Amateur Football Society in Fujian (hereinafter shortened as the Society) from the perspectives of management, development, supervision, assurance and motivation, the elements that influence the folk non-profit sports organizations, with the hope of providing theoretical and methodological reference for non-profit sports organizations. It is the revelations of the present research thati. After analysis, five common factors are collected: assurance, management, development, supervision, and motivation, among which assurance and management stand out as the most significant.ii. the assurance factors include finance management, field and personal safety, inner communication and atmosphere. The Society has stable but narrow source of funds, and the spending is not put under supervision, and thus is not transparent. The Society monopolizes the sports fields and is on good terms with field charters who have taken effective measures ensuring safety. A forum has been set up to assure ensure the inner communication, though it is yet to improve as regards its function.iii. The management of the Society involves the organization of particular events, the formulation and execution of regulations, the management of references, human resources, etc.. Sports events have been organized in line with local situation, with flexible and adjustable measures. The regulations are rather perfect with the unique Accumulated Points and Chairman-on-duty-in-turn systems that have been carried out fairly and effectively, though they are yet to be perfected in terms of public promotion and details. As regards referees and human resources, there have been no effective systems for selection and promotion.iv. The development factors refer to strategies and goals, the relation between the organization and its members. The Society has adopted substantial and appropriate strategies, but they are yet to be publicized in detail in order to make them known by households. The Society can basically meet the needs of its members and society, and has been in harmony with its members.v. The supervision section mainly involves the national laws and regulations, the relation between the Society and the government departments concerned. The laws and regulations that are lagging behind have proved to hamper the supervision and management of government and the development of the Society. The government hasn't come up with substantial efforts to support the Society. The Society seldom cooperates with commercial business, and has been competing hard with the National Football Committee.vi. The motivation part ranges from the local popularity of relevant sports events to the financial status and needs for sports of the participants. The participants are of high income, high requirement and extraordinary consuming power, and the Society has well satisfied their needs.
