On College-based Model For College Students Cultural Competence Education In China

It's a conversion process from theory to practice that culture competence education concept should be implemented to the education practice. We need to explore not only the education concept but also the practice model.Through a general analysis of the history, development and status quo of Chinese culture competence education, the researcher concludes that the culture competence education's in-depth development should be based on the university's practical teaching activities, especially for the universities of science and technology, there's need to seek a cross point between the professional education and humanities education, that is mining some humanistic spirit factors contained in engineering professional life. The Education goal of return to life will be realized only by establishing a school-based model for an university's culture competence education.There does not exist a fixed and unified model during the culture competence education process, and different levels of types of universities should show different characteristics and styles, so this study considered that the higher engineering education's diversification will be implemented and provide ideas about practical model for Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.By adopting many methods, such as literature study, comparative study, the researcher states some serious problems with the practical models of many famous universities of science and technology from all over the world. By adopting case study method, the researcher establishes a specific model for Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. This model was tested in practice and some problems were exposed to the testing process. In light of these problems, the researcher made some improvements to previous model and this could be used as a basis for further research.The researcher makes the regional culture as a new research platform about universities'culture competence education. It will help broaden horizons for related research and the theory can be enriched by practice study. Further more, it will contribute to an in-depth reform and development for culture competence education in universities of science and engineering in China.
