With 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and Paralympic Games are approaching, the Olympic education,which is the way of sports,is the core of education,is the essence of spirit,is accelerating into the system of the adapted sports.The Olympic Education stimulates the effectiveness of participation,improving the spirit of ideas,belongs to comprehensive education.The Olympic education to Deaf not only enrich their sports knowledge,enhance their participation in sports enthusiasm,more self-confidence to develop their mental state,optimistic,positive attitude toward life,but also foster a good outlook on life and values.At present,China is in the golden time of preparation for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and Paralympic Games,they applies strong foundation for Deaf to accept the Olympic education.At the same time, with more and more Olympic education,as well as increasing professional teachers,and specialized courses,all of these factors are accessed to provide for the deaf to accept the Olympic education.From the research,(1) The Government emphasizes on the importance of the Olympic Education in deaf school,but the implementation is not ideal enough.During the seven deaf schools in Beijing,there are two schools that implement the courses of Olympic education,the rest are educating the deaf students from the sports theory class,class,moral lessons,to other indirect ways.(2) The reaction to the Olympic education classes is generally recognized.The majority of the Deaf students are supposed to fix in the form of day-to-day teaching system in deaf school. (3) The general deaf knowledge of the Olympic mastery,basically is related to the Olympic sports star and the general understanding.They lack of the knowledge of the Olympic Games in depth and breadth.They hardly have the knowledge about the Paralympic Games.(4) the teachers of the schools,which are not applying the specialized the Olympic education courses,are not awareness of the work of the Olympic education, they seldom contact the education-related content to the Olympic education.Most of them are necessarily considered to set up special courses of Olympic education.The reasons are related to their levels of knowledge,the ways to the Olympic education and other factors.(5) The students in two deaf schools,which implement Olympic education, mostly satisfied with the courses,however,the content of them is difficult for deaf.At the same time,the problem of sign language of teachers obstructs to the communication of the effectiveness of Olympic education.(6) The content of Olympic education is not specifically for the Deaf in teaching materials.The existing teaching materials of Olympic education lack of the content related to deaf sports and education. (7) The existing education methods are basically confined to the deaf schools,the methods of the Olympic education are not rich.
