Development And Strategy Of NMT Chinese Composition Today

National Meticulous Test (NMT) is the first biggest examination in China today. Chinese composition draws the wide attention of the whole society, as it occupies the highest percentage in the paper. Since 1978, both papers and examinations have been designed and organized by the education department and the composition has been becoming more and more regular. Up to now (2008), 31 years have passed. Given theme regulations of the test serve as a baton guidance that standardizes the teaching methods of compositions and leads the proper development of teaching composition in secondary schools. In fact, NMT Chinese composition came all the way from given theme, composition new material compositions and situational characteristic writing. So is the teaching method, which changes from the easy blind way to the complex level of combining reading skills with writing skills. Its width and depth of the test point strongly block right-oriented teaching composition. However, ignoring the profound significance of this change, a lot of the Chinese Senior Teachers are lack of clear understanding. They still continue to apply the present blind training to the preparation of NMT, taking no notice of the theoretical research. They do not reject the out-of-date training from the right-Oriented exam. On the contrary, the new training ideas should be put into practice with all kinds of drills carried out. In the past years, composition of national meticulous test has experienced the courses from politicization to humanization, from singularity to diversification and from puerility to maturity. In order to guide the students to write better compositions during the whole teaching process. It is necessary for us to summarize and recall the development track, reform thinking and practical experience of subject assignment so as to master the writing purpose better in the long term. This thesis is based on comprehensive by searching and widely reading. Composition materials of National Meticulous Test in the past years. It contains the following major three aspects. Grasping the evolution of subject assignment regulations, problem analysis and strategies sorting out the forms of the composition of NMT, and classifying contents and guiding theories.
