Perfection Of Chinese Style

Since the late 20th century 90's, the Formal Marriage between homosexuals, with Chinese characteristics, began to appear in our eyes. This form of marriage is made up by a combination of homosexuals, and it is a compromise selection under the stress of traditional family concept and cultural norms. Although we are lack of valid estimation to the quantity of formal marriage, but the absolute amount is very limited. However, the problem reflects the confliction between homosexuals and mainstream, non-homosexuals in marriage and family concept, and cultural awareness. It is enough to arise the thinking of social and academic circle.From the perspective of Marriage and Family theory Conflict theory, this paper discusses the formal marriage of homosexuals through qualitative research methods. In this paper, the author gets 15 samples by a snowball-type sampling and purpose sampling method, and makes a study of the sample through interview and observation methods.After year-long study, the paper comes to the following conclusions:First, the majority of homosexuals do not want to get married. They choose Formal Marriage mainly attributing to the impact of the traditional culture of filial character, social and cultural norms as well as to cover the actual sexual orientation. Second, homosexual groups in the Formal Marriage are not easy as we think. In the course of the marriage, they will face lots of tedious and realistic problem, such as economic problems, spouse problems, reproductive problems and parental care problems.Third, homosexual groups want an equal society and a reasonable system of rights protection. The implementation of these aspirations must be shared by the whole society.Finally, in this article, according to the research conclusion, the author gives a few suggestions to help those homosexuals who make their compromise selection obtaining more "perfect" happiness.
