The quality problems following with the rapid development of higher vocational education attract vast social attention. In order to ensure the quality,advanced countries continuously perfect their quality assurance system by formulating all kinds of policies and reformation.Also our country promulgated a series of policies concerned quality assessment,and formulated indicator system of quality assessment,but it still has some shortages.So we should draw successful experiences from advanced countries to make up the existing shortages.The article consists of five parts:Part One,Comparison of quality assurance predominant,As for the three kinds of value predominant:country(government), society and college possess different power and status in the quality assurance system,there exist three forms of quality assurance predominant:official governed predominant,folk, non-official predominant and multiple predominant,and analyze their advantages and disadvantages.Meanwhile,according the characteristics of the development of economy and vocational education,the article summarizes the development trends of the quality assurance predominant.Part Two,Comparison of the content of quality assurance. The content of quality assurance is the core of the whole quality assurance system.The quality of higher vocational education mainly consists of the quality of college' s sponsoring level,quality of specialty,quality of teachers and quality of students,and so on.According to their owned characters,advanced countries formulated a series of provisions and established assurance mechanism,by using technical method,to ensure their education quality effectively.Part Three,Comparison of the method of quality assurance. Method of quality assurance is the common name of technical methods used during the period of the activities of quality assurance.At present,there are four kinds of methods: assessment,accreditation,audit and datum.Every kind of method have its owned different function,every country may choose one of them,or even two,to achieve the goal of ensuring quality of higher vocational education.Part Four,Comparison of the internal quality assurance system.The internal quality assurance system is an important integral part of the whole quality assurance system.It is constructed to ensure the college' s internal education quality,by formulating corresponding institution and system. It possesses the equally important status as the external quality assurance system.Part Five,Enlightenment from abroad quality assurance system for higher vocational education.By analysis and comparison,and according to the shortages existed in our quality assurance system of higher vocational education,the article gives five advices to perfect our quality assurance system.They are:constructing a multiple-cooperated predominant and formulating specialty assessment system and teachers' quality assurance system,and sophisticated internal quality assurance system and development multiple evaluation and recommending "element evaluation" mechanism.
