| The 21st century is the era that human beings depend on the knowledge innovation, Technology and talents are increasingly becoming the decisive factor for national prosperity and national progress. Therefore, the cultivation of innovative talents becomes a hot topic in education and research focus, all the States put innovative talents resources as a strategic resources and the central element that enhances the competitiveness of national science and technology. In recent years China puts forwards the strategy of building an innovation-oriented country; it highlights the important position of the innovative talents. In the era of talented people and powerful nation, the university has reached the center of the community from the edge of the community; top universities should undertake the historical mission of cultivating and fostering talents full of innovative awareness and innovative capabilities that the society needs, and the cultivation of undergraduates is the basic project of implement of "Rejuvenating the nation with science and education". A small number of top universities in China have obtained some experiences in exploration of the cultivation of innovative talents, but they didn't have the unprecedented progress as a whole. This article is precisely based on the time request and our country's present situation; it proposes a new personnel training plan by learning from useful training experiences of foreign top universities' cultivation of innovative undergraduate.This paper induces the basic features, quality characteristics and structural characteristics of the innovative talents systematically and comprehensively by analyzing the meaning of innovative talents; it also discusses the influencing factors of the cultivation of innovative talents such as education, policy and the social factors from the angle of macroscopic and on microscopic, this will support the research conclusion. Meanwhile, this paper points out that the top universities play a very important role in the cultivation of undergraduate innovative talents. The author explores the successful experience of the foreign top universities, including the guidance of advanced education concept, the implementation of research-based teaching methods, the establishment of overall balanced undergraduate course curriculum, the construction of project-oriented practical training mechanism and the environment of services and supports, these measures reflect a flexible and innovative and people-oriented educational aims, it's widely different from China's traditional education mode. Then, the author selects two top universities in China as cases and elaborates their successful experience in cultivation of undergraduate innovative talents respectively. Among them, Huazhong University of Science and Technology initiates the base innovation practice, carry out enterprise education and establish Dian team, these measures impetus the undergraduate education and foster the undergraduate innovative talents. Yuanpei Program, the cooperation with the enterprise, practice of science research and union raise mode for domestic and foreign in Peking University have set an example for other universities. After comparison and analysis of the similarities and differences in measures of cultivating the innovative talents between domestic and international top universities, the author puts forward the problems and difficulties in innovative talents training in Chinese universitiesrecently. At last, the author designs a three-dimensional space-based program——the"three-wide" style in the undergraduate innovative talents training mode in view of the defects just mentioned and the experiences of foreign universities and the practices of our own, it enables the top universities to use their advantages of manpower, material and financial resources to promote and guarantee the cultivation of innovative talents in China's top universities from three aspects of all personnel, whole process, omni-directional.
