| The subjects of the education are the humans, are the lives. The education should face the lives of the students, care about the lives, and improve the quality of the activities of the students. However, the education gives too much concern to the number of the college entrance and the academic achievement in our country, but concerns less about the lives. For example, the education in senior high schools pays less attention to the personality, spirit and ideal of the students. Thereby, the students in senior high schools ignore their lives and even have an injury to their lives, and they feel confused and puzzled to the value of their lives.The students in senior high schools take the life lightly, but the education in senior high schools lacks life education. Thus, the paper aims to reflect and state the situation in senior high schools in three parts.Firstly, the paper states the connotation of the life education. On the basis of the connotation, it analyzes the importance of the necessity of applying the life education in two aspects--respectively improving the life quality of the students in senior high schools and adapting to the features of the development of their body and mind; it states the possibility of applying the life education in two angles. One angle is that the selected texts of Chinese textbooks of senior high schools function as rich contents about the life education; the other is that it is an effective way to the life education by use of the selected texts.Secondly, the paper has an interpretation of the contents about the life education embedded in the selected texts of Experimental textbooks of PEP Edition from three aspects—life education of developing self-consciousness, loving the society and caring about the nature.Finally, concerning how to soak the life education to the students via the contents in the selected texts of Experimental textbooks of PEP Edition, the author proposes three pieces of requirement for the teachers; what's more, the author proposes five suggestions for the instruction methods of life education. The author hopes to achieve the goals that guide the students to love their lives, treasure their lives and pursue the significance and value of their lives, and promote the human, society and nature to develop harmoniously. |
