Recent year, the after school-reading gross are falling year after year,the classic masterpiece reading is very little.Speed-reading is a most important component of reading ability, promoting the ability of speed-reading of primary and middle school students it's also a effective chance to increase the gross of after school–reading.The past studies show: the individual difference of readers and the reading text are the important factors to infruence speed-reading of students,and there will be more actual meaning to research the tow factors.But about these studies are not too many. The writer investgated the actuality of different cognitive style of Chinese speed-reading on primary and middle school students,and went on a experimental study,aimed at the necessary of promoting the abilty of speed-reading of primary and middle school students,and provied a scientific theory fundation of Chinese speed-reading training .This study ,which has two important parts.The first part is the research study on actulity of Chinese speed-reading of primary and middle school students. We selected 300 students from grade 6,grade 8 in middle school and grade 2 in senior high school.The text tool are Embedded Figures Test,Chinese Speed-Reading Strategies Questionnaire.Then we drew the following conclusions:(1)the Chinese Speed-Reading Strategies correlat with Chinese score significant,but it's level is not high enough ,the students aren't have the habit of speed-reading;(2)The ability of speed-reading of primary and middle school students grow with the grade,there is a high promoting period from grade 6 to grade 8;(3) The higher had more advantages then the latter of reading score at speed-reading strategies;(4)there is significant difference in speed-reading stragegies between field-dependents and field-independents, the field-independents had more advantages.The second part, is about the experimental study on influence of cognitive style on Chinese speed-reading among primary and middle school students.we selected 29 field-independents and 30 field-dependents of grade 6 students by Embeded Figures Test.the research material is Chinese speed-reading test by self establish.the experimental results are that:(1) There is a signifcant influence in different coginitive style to different speed-reading text.(2)there is different influence in the different cognitive style to different information process level,at the remoral details ,the field-independents had more advantages than field-dependents,about the structrue,there is no significant difference. We suggest that:(1)taking the Chinese speed-reading training from high grade pupils;(2)taking the different text speed-reading training based on different cognitive style of students.
