Both Zhuang people in China and Tai people in Thailand belong to Zhuang-thai ethnic group,and they are the same original ethnic group . Sukwan ceremony is one kind of blessing etiquettes that ties a white thread on somebody's wrist after soule call by the sorcerer or the well-respected priest,which express the blessing of collecting soul and calming soul.In daily life Zhuang people and Tai people often hold for illness, births, travel, marriage and so on. After my investigation and study, I discovered that Sukwan ceremony was one of the Zhuang and Thai co-owner culture phenomenon and had rich cultural connotation and great research value.Two cases taken respectively in the Zhuang in A village of Debao County,Guangxi Province,China,and Tai in B village of sansai county,Chiangmai Provice,Thailand,I make a comparative analysis of ceremony about Sukwan between Zhuang People and Tai people by implementing Anthropologic related method and theories,in order to understanding and explaining behind ceremony's religious idea, the symbolic significance and the social function.It can help us know ahout the traditional curture of Zhuang People and Tai People,recognize both the similarities and differences between two traditional culture.I hope it can offer a little accumulation for Zhuang-Tai study.The thesis analyzes the example of Sukwan ceremony on the backgroud of national culture, we discovered that the ceremonies of two national had many similarities.They are carried out around the soul in order to achieves the soul and the body united and pray for good fortune and obtains happiness. However, the deep cultural roots of the two nations also accumulate many of their own cultural information. Compared with the common ground which they display, the diversity to which produces along with the social development even makes us pay more attention. The religious belief culture of two nations. Having received from influence of the peripheral cultural , the culture of religious belief in two nations formed its own unique characteristics, as a result,and made their ceremony become different in the form and content.
