The Current Situation And Cultivation Study Of Undergraduates' Entrepreneurship In Shanghai Sports University

This research was aim to examine the currernt situation of undergraduates' entrepreneurship in Shanghai Sports University. The purposes of the research are:1) to study how their entrepreneurship is;2) to examine the differences of entrepreneurship among undergraduates with different backgrounds;3) to examine the correlation situation among the gross scale and the sub-scales of entrepreneurship;4) to study the teaching activities on the impact of entrepreneurship;5) to know what they want to get from venture guidance served by college;6) to give some suggestions based on the results.This study used 'Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Inventory' by the author as the survey tool to collect information. The sample consisted of 180 undergraduates from four schools in Shanghai Sports University. Eight of them accepted an interview after that. Statistics tools, such as T-Test, One Way ANOVA, Pearson Correlation Analysis were used to analyze the survey results. The conclusions derived from the investigation and interview are as follows:1) The level of undergraduates' entrepreneurship is not high,especially on opportunity identification.2) The entrepreneurship of male students is better than female students.3) There is no significant difference on entrepreneurship between the students from Shanghai and those from other provinces.4) Part-time job experience doesn't affect the entrepreneurship of undergraduates.5) Students who had venture guidance experience behave better in entrepreneurship than those who didn't have this kind of experience.6) Students whose parents are in business behave better on entrepreneurship than those whose parents are not in business.7) Major does not affect students' entrepreneurship.8) The gross scale of entrepreneurship significantly correlated with sub-scales.9) Teaching activities should be improved for undergraduates' entrepreneurship.10) Venture guidance for undergraduates in Shanghai Sports University is ignored. According to the above mentioned research conclusions, the following suggestions are given:For undergraduates'entrepreneurship cultivation:1) to change educational philosophy and adjust the training objectives;2) to reform management system and create an entrepreneurial atmosphere;3) to carry out venture guidance;4) to establish students' venture associations;5) to organize entrepreneurial contest;6) to create a platform for undergraduates' venture.
