Study On The Reasons Analysis And Countermeasures Of The Adolescent Girls' Dropout In Miao Rural Area In Southeastern Guizhou

Educating a boy just cultivates one person, but educating a girl is related to a nation.The educational status of girls is directly related to the quality of the women in the future, the women's social status and self-development,and the current basic education of girls is the main disadvantaged groups, the situation of the girls in poor areas in Western minority situation is worrying.Miao, Dong, Buyi, Shui, Yao and other ethnic groups inhabit at Tingdong Town of Congjiang County in Guizhou Province, among them,the population of Miao accounts for 90 percent. the town's economic development is backward, and the traditional culture is relatively conservative,it is relatively isolated with the outside world, the ideology of the people is quite conservative, the drop-out phenomenone of the girls especially the adolescent girls is serious. In 2005, the Chinese government carried out "two exemptions and one subsidy" policy in poverty-stricken rural areas, that the rural girls don't go to school is not for the reason that they can't afford the school fees, while the problem seems not so simple. So far, there are a large number of girls are out of school or drop out of school, especially the situation of the dropout of the adolescent girls between 12-18 is more serious. The reason should be considered from various aspects, the educational status of girls has always been restricted by the local traditions and the old marriage custom, the ideology such as "son preference" and "male superiority" can not be broken through in Miao, puppy love and early marriage among girls are common occurrences; But the family whose income is so meager spent most of their earning on the wine and the feast; More than, the school conditions are poor, there are short of teachers especially female teachers, the teaching content and methods are dull which can not mobilize the students' initiative, the mode of teaching structure is unreasonable that is divorced from the actual everyday life of the local girls.There is also too much emphasis on the enter school proportion. Of course, we should consider the factors among the girls themselves.To the phenomena of the adolescent girls' dropout, local government, schools and parents should reflect on themselves, make positive efforts and try their best to improve the situation of the adolescent girls' dropout. Adolescent girls' dropout should be concerned by the whole society.The local government should try to improve the quality of women through various channels, such as re-employment skills training, running hand-workshop, organizing the women to teach and train themselves, and guiding the women to go out and helping them establish an independent, self-consciousness. So that the women themselves have been enhanced, they will be gradually aware of the importance of knowledge.
