Study On Construction Of The Non-Advantaged Discipline In The Top University

The construction and evolution of the average discipline in the top university couldn't get along without the development of the non-advantage discipline whose development has an impact not only on the development of the disadvantaged discipline itself but the evolution of the advantaged discipline. It is a pressing strategical task in top universities to study the evolution of non-advantaged discipline, which improves the quality and the level of the discipline construction in the top universities in China, and further makes them famous and top-rank in the world.This article researches the construction and development of the disadvantaged discipline in the top university, viewing from theory of the nonlinear mechanism ,the path dependence and the characteristic of bionomics, adopting the approaches of literature study and positivism study, such as case study, and the comparison study etc., studying the status of the non-advantaged discipline construction based on the case study, probing into the law of the disadvantaged discipline evolution.This article analsizes the factors that affecting the evolution of the non-advantaged discipline based on the case study of the agriculture engineering discipline in H University, further probes into the law of the non-advantaged discipline evolution in the view of nonlinear mechanism. The cases are studied to put forward the successful methods about the construction of the non-advantaged discipline in Cornell University and Harvard University concluded the enlightenments which based on research above. The other two cases including the molecular biology in University of California, Berkeley and the life science and technology in Shanghai Jiao Tong University are also studied to bring forward the countermeasures and advices of developing the new built discipline. At last, based on the status of the non-advantaged discipline in our country and the successful experiences of the non-advantaged discipline around the world, some measures are brought forward. The paper has worth reference to the constitution of the nonadvantaged disciplines construction strategy of top universities.
