With the rapid development of higher education in recent years, the number of graduates in Chinese universities has gradually increased. The demand of our society doesn't parallel with the enlargement of the student number while the graduates have adopt the 'both-way choice & Job-hunting by Self-determination' mode. For this reason, the competition of job-seeking becomes more and more sharp.The Career Instruction Course for students can help them to get a job successfully, and improve the status and the educational quality of the college. So the Career Instruction Courses become the main approach and manner to promote the career instructional work in universities. Because the selection of the content is crucial to the quality of the course, it is more significant to construct a scientific content system.This paper defines the conception of the career instruction course and summarizes literally the classic career theory and the relevant researches of the course. Based on the case of G University, the author investigates the course of each college and compares the content and the arrangement sequence of the course by means of questionnaire, interview and text analysis. Through the investigation, the author holds that the course in G University has basically constructed the system of career instruction course in high schools and parts of the course wins appreciation of the employer and students. The author also believes that the course meets the basic need of student's career instruction.However, the content system in G University has some flaws, such as the incomplete of the content, the simplification of the level, the lack of consistency and pertinence. The reasons lie in the lack of early investigation of students' need, the loose contact with employer, the deficiency of main knowledge and technique for the course development and the weak theoretical research on the content system. For these purposes, the author advances external and internal environment for fully course analysis. And according to the formulated course target, the author constructs the content system of the career instruction course from the following three perspectives: the influence of students' employment, the characteristics of the career development and the individualization of college students.
