The Research On The Current Situation Of The Non-profit Sports Organizations In Changsha

Based on the questionnaire survey and interviews to experts on the non-profit sports organizations, this paper studies the non-profit sports organizations of Changsha about their scales, their human resources, their governance, the state and the financial situation of the organizations, their relations with other organizations, and even their existing problems challenges. Then, we take a few statistics and logical analysis on the survey data and the interviews. Meanwhile, we examine the factors influencing the development the non-profit sports organizations of Changsha by consulting extensive books. This paper offers suggestion for the non-profit organizations in Changsha, and provides scientific theory basis for their development.The research shows that the non-profit sports organizations with a good mass base in Changsha consist of the official organizations (sports clubs)registered in the Bureau of Civil Affairs, the community sports organizations enrolled in the sub-district offices, and the non-governmental organizations (also called grass roots organizations). Of the three organizations, grassroots organizations are closest to the non-profit essence of sports. The official organizations are most invested with administration, profiling the duality of officials and the public. The community sports organizations take second place. Many problems exist in the three kinds of organizations:Ther are serious aging problems, lacking young highly educated people and outstanding sports professionals; unsufficient sports fields and funds; lack of professional sports instructors; the unrealized partnership with government departments, and other enterprises. There are many factors impacting the development of non-profit sports organizations in Changsha. However, the lack of good professionals is the main challenge, and a shortage of funds for developing organizations is the next challenge.The development of the non-profit sports organizations are of great significance to the national physical fitness, to the socialization of sports, to the accelerated integration with the world sports, and also to promote the progress of social sports in China. The paper argues that:the significance of the organizations should be fully awared; and we should take the opportunity of social transformation, combining China's national conditions and caring for people, to promote the comprehensive, coordianted and sustainable development of the non-profit sports organizations and mass sports in Changsha.
