Mass communication is an important way to obtain messages of modern society people. In modern sports industry, professional league is a kind of industrial organization form, which has the highest competitive level, the most advanced management level, and the largest integrated value. The relationship between professional sport and the mass media of present era can be described as inseparable, coexistence and co-prosperity.Shanxi Zhongyu professional basketball club was established at Taiyuan in 2006, Shanxi have its own club and team to participate in the country's top professional league for the first time. However, due to various historical and practical reasons, Shanxi professional league and its related industries developed slowly, the sport media development of Shanxi are not satisfactory either, its great pushing effect for professional sport league has not been able to take full advantage.On the one hand, by way of searching and thoroughly learning, some related basic theory about communication and sports science, especially mass communication on the impact of social and audience, the theory knowledge about preservative effect of mass sports communication on sports development were summarized. On the other hand, this paper combines practice and deeply analyzes the preservative effect of mass sports communication on CBA Taiyuan division. After research and discussion, this paper draws some related conclusions.This paper analyzes communicator, message, media, audience, feedback and other elements of the process of mass sports communication one by one. Make a thorough description of mass communication media on spreading condition of the competition consent of CBA Taiyuan division. On the survey part, the paper makes an investigation on the basic viewpoints of the journalist, the expectation of audience of media options, the journalist's views on the related question of mass sport communication and the development of CBA for the journalist who participate in the report of CBA Taiyuan division. And the paper also makes a viewpoint investigation on media requirement, judgment and attitude for the media, and the effect of media on CBA.After the general theoretical significance discussion and the empirical data analysis of the particularity of Taiyuan division, it draws some conclusions:firstly, at the conditions of Shanxi professional sport is still in the germination period, the audience is subject to influences from the mass sports communication, and the mass sports communication has enlightening and guiding effect on the audience. Secondly, with the aid of media power, mass sports communication to create the commercial brand value, to arouse sponsor and advertiser's investment passion, and also it is helpful to open profit space. Thirdly, the mass sports communication can promote the development and growth of professional sports club, its effect was obviously on Shanxi province, whose professional sport foundation is weak. Fourth, the mass sports communication has broad training effect on society; it can make the people of all in the society to create a common perspective and the values which take professional league as cultural center. The mass sports communication has enlightenment function for the development of Shanxi people's sports and humanistic spirit. The Shanxi regional culture was preceded by sports, and it will be carried forward by the way of media.
