The Research On The Spectators Behavior Of The 11th National Games

With the change of leisure time, ideas and lifestyle, people have new higher pursuit of the living standard. Participating leisure sport and watching sport games has become the indispensable part of people's daily life. In watching sport games, more and more people prefer to watch the sport games in live but to watch television or internet at home. From the Olympic Games to some small sports competition, the spectators have become a very important part of the sport.The 11th national games which is the first game after 2008 Beijing Olympic games have hold in October 2009 in Jinan of Shandong Province. It concludes 33 big items and 360 small items. Shandong province have built 41 new stadiums, repaired 18 old stadiums and made use of 71 stadiums. Much more stadiums can provide much more chance to spectators. In the terms of sports, the number of spectators and the tone of surrounding atmosphere play a important part on the competition. However, the behavior of spectators may influence the process of competition, such as the dress, fan clothing, cheering tools, passion, environmental awareness, civilization of the spectators.With the method of Literature study, investigation, logical analysis and data statistics, this paper have investigated and studied the spectator behavior of the 11th national games.The results are listed below. For the spectators of the 11th national games, the proportion of male is a little more than female spectators. Most spectators have high education. The main motivation of spectators to watch the games is to experience the atmosphere in live, like the sports, recreation and get the spirit of enjoyment. The most popular sports are gymnastics, table tennis, dive, swimming, basketball. Go with friends and students is the main attendance way. Most people go watching the games without the cheer tools, there are still some organizations which are always carrying the cheering tools. There are 15% people have once the unhappy mood, because of the unfair judgment and uncivilized behavior. These people always choose to leave ahead of time, watch the games stilly instead of cheering up for the players. When it occurs to the unfair event in the games,15% spectators choose to keep silence and respect the judge. In addition, during the 11th national games, there are not so many uncivilized behavior and most spectators can keep their mobile phone to the state of mute and vibration. The lack of leisure time has become the major reason for not coming to watch the sports games in live.Based on the analysis made above, this paper proposes the following suggestions. The spectators should strengthen the understanding of rules of sports in order to enhance the ability to watch the sports games. And they should view the result of games, express the resentful feeling. The organizers should make different strategies according to different spectator groups to meet their requirement. Then, they should make the spectators to become good behavior using many various kinds of ways and improve the quality of service, strengthen the security of stadium. Relevant departments of government should strengthen the promotion and propaganda on leisure sport, and increase the chance to watch the sports games in live from the policy in order that more and more people can get the enjoyment of physical and spirit, improve there quality of life.
