It is one of most important objectives to cultivate undergraduates'Information Literacy for colleges and universities all over the world. In China, although many colleges and universities have offered some information-related courses, most courses still focus on knowledge on the basic application of computers or depend on several theoretic lectures. Certainly, courses related to the basic application of computers are promising to promote the cultivation of undergraduates'information literacy, however, it is difficult for such courses to radically change current low-level state of undergraduates'of information literacy because of the limitations of the courses themselves in depending more on technologies rather than on actual applications. This study proposes the strengthen and innovation in the public course, "Modern Education Technology" in colleges and universities to explore some novel and practical strategies and methods for the cultivation of improvement of undergraduates'information literacy. This study does not point at get an overall innovation, but intends to recognize some misunderstandings and limitations in the training process of undergraduates'information literacy. The effective combination of the cultivation of information literacy and the teaching of Modern Educational Technology not only helps undergraduates to master knowledge on educational technology, to improve the competency in the application of educational technology and self-regulated learning, but also contributes to the improvement of undergraduates'skills in information retrieval, process, utilization and communication. Such a practice is a test for "win-win"The standards of information literacy can not only provide guide to but also an evaluation framework for the teaching on information literacy. However, most indications involved in current standards are too broad and descriptive, and lack of operability. This study carefully chooses 8 key indications to identify the research goals, and accordingly design 8 teaching modules and strategies for teaching experiments. A questionnaire is used for the evaluation of the operability and efficiency of the teaching modules and strategies. The experimental results have proved that the suggested strategies are helpful for the improvement of undergraduates'information literacy.
