The Human Geography teaching nowadays is prone to superficiality, slogan and sometimes too policy. It has much to do with content selection which exists some problems, such as that content is out of time; lack of Human Geography theory; lack of effective cases and after-school activities. Therefore it is necessary to study and learn experience from foreign countries in human geography content selection to promote reflection of Chinese human geography teaching. According to "International Charter on Geography Education" and in accordance with the "high school geography curriculum standards", This article compares the Human Geography curriculum of China with those of Australia, Singapore, UK, Germany, the United States to look for differences and analyzes the causes. This study attempts to address the fundamental questions:What is the distinguishing feature of the Human Geography content selection of the five countries and Why? What we can learn from the experiences?This article is divided into five chapters; the main research is literature study, analysis of induction and experience summarization.Chapterâ… "Introduction" mainly describes the origins and significance of the research; the basic concept that is related to this article and the basic issues, ideas and methods.Chapterâ…¡"States High School (Secondary) Analysis of human geography course" is based on curriculum standards (curriculum) and the materials were investigated both in Australia and New Zealand, Britain, Germany and the United States high school (secondary) human geography content and the main character, and through comparative analysis with the five countries that our main difference.Chapterâ…¢"Five secondary Geography curriculum choice and value of the background to reflect the" main cause of the five countries to discuss human geography content with the difference between our high school background factors and how they reflect the value of the content.Chapter IV, "The Enlightenments from comparisons" points out present shortcomings of the human geography curriculum through comparisons and puts forward relevant suggestions.Chapter V, "Conclusions" summarizes the main conclusions and the shortcomings of this article, and provides some individuals suggestions.
