After world war two, with the development of economy, American federal government emphasized pre-school education and promulgated a series of laws and acts, such as Head Start, Education of the Handicapped Act, Child Care and Development Block Grant Act, No Child Left Behind and so forth. The thesis focus on pre-school education investment of American federal government from the angle of history on the background of society, politics and economy, analyses exterior factors and interior dynamics that formed pre-school education investment of American federal government.The whole thesis consists of five parts:Part one is introduction:It generally introduces the reason and significance of this thesis, as well as the research history on the theory of pre-school education investment, illustrates the research framework and methods.Part two is the general situation of American pre-school education before world war two, which includes infant school movement of US. in its youth, Froebelism took up the leadership, and pre-school education in the era of new education movement.Part three is the development of pre-school education investment of American federal government after world war two. The thesis reviews the laws and acts about pre-school education after world war two, and sums up it's characteristics:the phase of based on the pre-school education (the Fifties and Sixties of the Twentieth Century), the phase of multiform investments (the Seventies and Eighties of the Twentieth Century), as well as the phase of efficiency and equity (from the Nineties of the Twentieth Century to nowadays).Part four is the analysis and summary the process of pre-school education investment of American federal government. From the angles of object, form, degree and value of investment, the thesis explains the change of pre-school education investment.Part five is an epilogue, which summarizes the characteristics of pre-school education investment of American federal government, at the same time, points out the direction of future research.
