During e-learning, most of learners easily fall into such troubles, including information loss and cognitive overload, both of which will severely influence their learning affects. By studying a lot of relevant data, this paper concludes that it's highly benefits to provide possible guidance for learners to gain their desired resources, which probably enhance their study effects. Recently, with the development of networking socialized, social navigation, kind of advanced navigation which integrates social elements to general navigation, emerges to solve current problems in modern network. In reference to the outstanding impressions of navigation system working in the e-commerce sites, this paper recommends that social navigation should be prevailed in e-learning environment, too. It firstly quotes a literature search about practical application of recommendation system and online word-of-mouth in e-commerce, and the positive influences for customers and merchants, thus, this paper prompts that social navigation should be adopted in network learning system. Actually, this is the first innovations of this paper, that is, to insert the idea of navigation in e-commerce into e-learning environment. The other innovation of this article is to combine psychology experiment with educational technology in e-learning environment. As a result of intuitive and accurate eye-checking method, this paper makes use of a specific experimental design to accomplish Experiementl. However, due to some special characteristics of eye-checking, its experimental record is defined to eye track or initial information processing, but unable to reflect how is deep-thought processed. In order to make up such shortcoming, this paper adds a special questionnaire after Experiment1, asking questionnaire-maker to finish it according to their actual habits during the study, to verify the issue, boosting the accuracy of experimental data. By the latest survey, Experimentl directs that social navigation attracts more learners than timing navigation. Moreover, different social navigations, acting different roles, result from different impacts on learners. For instance, favor-saving social navigation earns more concerns and trust from learners than browser-type social navigation. In addition, questionnaire data shows that most of learners would like to accept recommendations or any information from others, which effectively help them to obtain necessary resources and reduce their cognitive load.Experiment2 makes a further study of their working affects on different kinds of social navigations on the base of Experiment1. It adopts origin-developing method to observe differences among different problem-solving methods which learners will take in the process of e-learning by analyzing following sides, time to deal with questions, accuracy rates and their ways to ask for help, so as to learn about which way learners will take to help them solve problems efficiently. Experient2 directs that most of Learners will try to get answers by referred materials when they meet easier questions. On contrast, when the questions are more complex, they will ask direct or indirect navigation for help, direct navigation is a preferred one. For instance, learners always tend to use online chatting rather than BBS to solve any questions.Lastly, this paper summarizes out some practical social navigation strategies which can be applied to e-learning environment and some proposals which works for the design of networking courses. It also points out some problems existed in the study and makes some relevant speculation. Furthermore, this paper implies that there are some other problems left for further study in the future. By large, this paper helps learners improve their learning efficiency rather than wasting much time and energy on information-searching. Besides, it makes a great significance of optimizing network resource, implementing navigation sites to promote the characterized development of network education.
