Locke is a famous English philosopher, statesman and thinker in 17th century. "Some thoughts on Education" is a representative book of Locke in education. Locke focused on the cultivation of young gentlemen, to discuss a wide range of educational issues, of course, including sports.John Locke was born to study medicine, he was the first to propose the theory of precision sports educators that physical health is a prerequisite for career success, while the physical health requires not only conservation, but also to exercise, he proposed a set of physical methods. There are still many merits, the statement "mental health resides among the healthy body " has become the wisdom.In this paper, based on historical data were systematically discussed the background Locke's Thoughts on Physical Education, the role of theory, theory of sports content, sports and methodology as well as their characteristics and enlightenment. Through this study we hope to be able to Locke's ideas for in-depth understanding in order to expand our sports theory and to guide our teaching activities.
