Career management education is an important content in today's college. But because of the negligence of schools, students and companies, the career management education on college students is still insufficient. Through finding the impacts in all aspects between the details of career motivation and various dimensions of self-leadership, we can make an career management education guidance for college students to guide their career planning, or apply the found to employees'career management for the companies to solving the career management issues the college, students and companies facing. It has been more than 20 years self-leadership theory been studied abroad. It not only has systematic theoretical exploration, but also carried out many empirical and experimental researches; the research results already have some accumulation. However, the domestic research on self-leadership has just started, carrying out in-depth study and exploration on the theory being of important theoretical significance and application value.Through analyzing the problems the companies and colleges faced on career management at home and abroad, and the development of self-leadership theory, the paper proposals the research perspective and the structure and methods. On the base of an overview of related theories such as self-leadership and career motivation theories, the study proposes the hypothesis and then conducts an empirical analysis of these assumptions. Through the distribution and collection of the questionnaires, this study gets the data and analyzes the overall situation of individuals tested, the differences of individuals with different backgrounds, the impacts on the performance of self-leadership and career motivation, and the relationship between self-leadership and career motivation.Through empirical research, this paper draws the following conclusions: the tested individuals have high self-leadership capability and career motivation in general; the self-leadership capability and career motivation both have a significant difference among individuals of different backgrounds; there is a positive correlation between the self-leadership capability of tested individuals and certain aspects of the performance, so does the career motivation and certain aspects of the performance; career motivation can significantly influence self-leadership; there is a positive correlation between career motivation and the self-leadership capability, and the is a causal relationship between them.At the last of the article, we have proposed to the colleges, students and companies about the career management education. We also point out the lack of the article and the prospects for futures research.
