The Study Of Continuing Education Current Status And Solution Of Special Education Teachers In The Background Of Teacher Professional

The career of education is all about educating people, and it also plays a very important role in the improvement and development of the society. The education for exceptional children, especially for the mentally retarded children, is acting as one of the key components in constructing the harmonious society. Meanwhile, the special education has been widely concerned even more by the Party and the government, as well as all sections of the society. As a result of the particularity of the target groups, the special education teachers have different professional requirements comparing to the normal teachers. By means of comprehensive surveys, we find out that the special education in our country has a quite unbalanced development, and there are so many differences between the developed region and the central western region. The qualities of the special education teachers in the under developed area are good and bad mixed together, thus the total situation cannot be considered as optimistic. This essay starts with the specialized backgrounds of special education teachers in China, and then analyzes the meaning of specialization. It also point out the difference from the ordinary teacher and the importance of special education teachers'professionalization and so on. After fully investigating the Special Education School in Wu Hou district in Chengdu, we come to a conclusion that the professionalization of this school is in a relatively low level. And its developing of professional standard has many difficulties because of several reasons such as finance, administration, training after job, and the recognition of the society .etc.Aiming at the problems above, we bring forward the following detailed suggestions and methods, including putting more efforts in the professional ethic of teachers, creating a better environment for teachers, relieving the psychological pressure of teachers. And what's more, it also needs increasing the trainin gs in school, richening the training contents and enforcing the training after job, to help the transition of the usual teacher to special teacher, building nice working atmosphere, and paving the road for the career development.
