The Research On Asset Library Based On ClearCase

Research on Asset Library System is an important part of that of software reuse.Many companies and organizations are dedicating to research on asset library andreusable component. Most assets libraries available have its own data model andservice interface, which embarrass the communion among them. Asset Library OpenArchitecture Framework is presented with the purpose of making librariescommunicate easily by specifying uniform meta-model. Based on studying ofcomponent reuse, asset library and data models of some typical libraries, an idea onthe data model of asset library is presented in this paper. UML and XML wereintroduced respectively to build and describe the data model of asset library, aiming tomake diverse libraries can share components each other. And the experience ofimplementing a library based on ClearCase is introduced in this paper.
