The work of this paper is to implement COFDM modulator with FPGA, which works with the R&D of the channel coding special topic(COFDM) coming from the research of Chinese IJDTV broadcast function prototype system.Firstly, this paper generally introduces the development of HDTV at home and abroad, and expounds the principle of the OFDM and the COFDM scheme of the HDTV broadcast transmission system.Secondly, this paper emphasizes on how to design and implement the CQFDM coding and modulation with FPGA. Being started with analyzing and designing the system parameters, the whole scheme was designed with united clock by way of marking the valid data so that the stability of design is improved. All the circuit module are implemented with FPGA including clock module, splitter, energy disturb, RS coding, convolution interleave, puncture convolution coding, bit interleave, symbol interleave, modulation map, OFDM frame shaping. At the same time, corresponding test step, tools, ways and results are given.At last, the performance simulation is made on QFDM .At the same time, an algorithm is provided to reduce the peak-to-average power ratio of OFDM signal.
